As in Drums of Tahiti, Sylvia
is again called on to play a "native..."
 The
film was directed by Frank Tashlin, one of the great comedic Hollywood directors
of the 1950s, and known for sexy "Gags & Girls" bits.
"Frank Tashlin was a joy to work for. He was good natured,
patient, very positive and encouraging to be around. He made it easy
to try things and he laughed out loud when he thought something funny. He
used to embarrass me a little by asking me to walk away from him. He'd
say, "look at that... there goes the greatest walk any woman ever had..."
Some men saying that would have been insulting, but coming from Frank, it was
cute. He was a big jovial teddy bear."

Katy Whitcomb, the Lieutenant Wearing a
Skirt, confronts Henrietta about the ruse...
Sylvia was good friends with Sheree
North, having known her years before they appeared in this film...
Henrietta doing her thing on stage...

As the Rock 'n' Roll craze was in full swing, the
film tries to cash in, having Henrietta swing to that crazy beat...
