1967: The Jerry Lewis Show
- Regular Sketch Performer

"The Jerry Lewis Show was a failed attempt to resurrect his television career when his popularity was at an all time low. NBC producer Bob Finkel, and my then husband Ed Simmons as head writer, were asked to do what they thought would work for Jer with hopes of a success.  It didn't.  It aired for one season with terrible ratings and reviews.  The fact that Ed was writing the show and that Jerry knew me so well for so many years, I just did odd small parts... Jer has always been my champion."

November 10th, 1967: "Jer and I played two Russian dancers - we start backstage arguing and fighting like a couple of raging loons in Russian gibberish (above), and and in the fury of the moment I knock his contact lenses out.  He staggers his way onto stage and obviously can't see a thing. We proceed to do a dance which is impossible for him."

"It ends with him making a running attempt to find me, but missing completely and taking a diving leap through the upstage curtain. Those are Jerry's soles flying through the curtain on the far left of the shot
(circled). The ballet number was choreographed by Nick Castle... a dream of a choreographer!!!"
